If you are a Training and Development professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting role for you! Based in our Shakopee, MN location, you will create innovative and engaging classroom, online, and virtual education programs by partnering with subject matter experts across the organization. You will be responsible for implementing education programs and managing training completions in our learning management systems.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Assess training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with managers, and instructors.
- Create, organize, plan, and implement technical and skills training for employees and customers.
- Maintain records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.
- Evaluate program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback.
- Maintain knowledge of the latest trends in training and development.
You create teamwork allowing others across the organization to achieve shared objectives. You identify and create the processes necessary to get work done. You try multiple varied approaches to innovative ideas, then champion the best creative ideas. You develop and project a can-do attitude. For This Role, You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Minimum four (4) years of related experience
- Ability to design and implement effective training and development
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this position
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Adult Education, Instructional Design, or technical field preferred
- Experience with Articulate 360 suite, Camtasia and Adobe Creative Cloud
- Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods
- Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software.
- Strong interest and ability to work with engineering and scientific training materials

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $81,475 -$93,115 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
