Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world’s leading global law firms with offices in strategic hubs of commerce, law, and government across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking a Trademark Paralegal for the Trademark Portfolio Services department of the Intellectual Property Practice Group. The Trademark Paralegal will be responsible for providing assistance to attorneys in all aspects of trademark portfolio management, copyright portfolio management, and IP due diligence.

This position can reside in either of the following locations: Washington, D.C., Boston, New York, Houston, Philadelphia, Orange County, San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Seattle or Chicago with a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule. Flexibility with overtime is required.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparing applications for trademark and service mark registration.
Preparing ancillary prosecution and maintenance filings.
Preparing Trademark Trial and Appeal Board filings and trademark record title update filings.
Assisting with trademark and copyright due diligence.
Performing online preliminary trademark clearance searches, and preparing search guides.
Preparing applications for copyright registrations.
Drafting correspondence to clients and local counsel related to trademark prosecution and maintenance issues.
Keeping attorneys apprised of upcoming deadlines and coordinating with attorneys to keep clients updated of same.
Performing other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
Experience and qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree.
A minimum of two to three (2-3) years of trademark prosecution/maintenance experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.
A paralegal Certificate is strongly preferred.
Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of attention to detail.
Advanced knowledge of legal research and investigation skills.
Proven ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
Ability to prioritize workload, assignments, and client needs.
Ability to adapt to change and balance competing demands, and function as an integral part of a fast-paced team environment.

For positions in New York, NY, Silicon Valley, CA, and San Francisco, CA the salary range for this position is $91,500 - $146,325.
For positions in Orange County, CA and Seattle, WA the salary range for this position is $87,800 - $140,450.
For positions in Chicago, IL the salary range for this position is $80,500 - $128,800.
For positions in Washington D.C. the salary range for this position is $84,200 - $134,600.
The base salary wage range for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors. Final salary wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. Additionally, salary wages may be only part of the total compensation package. The total compensation package for this position will also include eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans and policies then in effect, eligible employees may enroll in: a 401(k) plan, as well as participate in Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, life, disability, accidental death and dismemberment, business travel accident insurance plans, and health savings and flexible spending accounts for the employee and the employee’s eligible dependents.
