About the role

Overview

The People Solutions Navigator is the first point of contact for employee and leader inquiries regarding HR-related questions or issues. The People Solutions Navigator is charged with quickly assessing the need and utilizing system resources to accurately and efficiently provide direction or resolution to the employee/leader and/or engage appropriate escalation resources for assistance. The Navigator is expected to utilize system tools to maximize efficiency and accuracy and follow established protocol to maintain effective and professional documentation of inquiries and resolutions. In all interactions, the representative will exhibit iCARE behaviors and fulfill the organization’s brand promise by providing exceptional customer service.

 

This internship position is a time-limited, temporary position with a start date of June 3rd, 2024. The total number of hours that an intern can work during this timeframe is 250 hours.

Interns hired for the summer cohort will be enrolled in Campus Greensboro’s Summer Fellows Program. This is an in person, professional development training program sponsored by Cone Health. Some hours of program participation will be paid.

Responsibilities

 

  • Supports a high volume of inbound employee and leader inquiries/requests with a demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and problem resolution. Achieves relevant performance metrics and adheres to iCARE in all interactions.
  • Applies documented procedures, policies, and practices to accurately research and respond to calls/cases received. Stays current with understanding and knowledge of applicable laws and organization HR policies.
  • Utilizes sound judgement to make appropriate determinations on resolutions needed and escalates as appropriate.
  • Utilizes tools and resources to perform responsibilities accurately and efficiently, including documentation of requests and responses. Proactively works with supervisor to provide input and updates to HR Knowledge Base.
  • Demonstrates patience and ability to remain calm under stressful situations and de-escalates situations through the use of effective communication techniques.
  • Collaborates with HR Centers of Excellence or other areas of the organization on special projects.

SKILLS

  • Excellent writing, speaking, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to provide customer/client focused support.
  • Capable of handling high stress while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to multi-task and remain organized.
  • Willingness to work in a hybrid setting.

Qualifications

 

EDUCATION:
  • 3.0 GPA or higher and a junior, senior or graduate student.
  • Human Resources or Health Service Administration major.
