The I&C/LSS/Telecommunications Commissioning Lead will oversee the end-to-end commissioning of Instrumentation & Controls (I&C), Life Safety Systems (LSS), and Telecommunications systems for a state-of-the-art semiconductor facility. This role demands a deep technical background in industrial control, emergency systems, and network infrastructure, along with proven experience leading integrated commissioning efforts across disciplines.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage commissioning plans for all I&C, LSS, and Telecommunications systems, ensuring alignment with project specifications, code compliance, and client expectations.
- Review system drawings, sequences of operation, and specifications to confirm scope and integration strategies across multiple technology layers.
- Lead the commissioning of industrial control systems, including PLCs, RIO panels, HMIs, Cimplicity servers, and historian platforms, ensuring proper programming, calibration, and response.
- Oversee functional testing of life safety systems, including fire alarms, gas detection, interlocks, emergency comms, and UPS power to critical LSS components.
- Manage telecommunications commissioning efforts, including DAS networks, wireless systems, GIS infrastructure, and BMS connectivity, verifying installation and integration performance.
- Coordinate and execute Integrated Systems Testing (IST) across I&C, LSS, and TELE systems, validating inter-system communication, failover capability, and real-world response to alarm scenarios.
- Interface with system integrators, vendors, inspectors, and the client’s security/EHS teams to ensure timely completion and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Track commissioning progress through formal documentation platforms, manage punch list resolution, and develop final commissioning reports and system handovers.
- Provide technical leadership in troubleshooting, validating interdependencies, and verifying the readiness of control and safety systems for startup.
- Train facilities personnel on system functionality, emergency response procedures, and maintenance best practices for long-term operational continuity.
- Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role.
Skills Required:
- Strong technical experience in I&C, life safety, and telecommunications system commissioning
- In-depth knowledge of control systems (PLCs, HMIs), life safety codes (NFPA, IBC), and telecom standards
- Proven ability to lead commissioning in complex, high-tech environments such as semiconductor manufacturing
- Familiarity with integrated systems testing, failover protocols, and network segregation practices
- No formal degree required; relevant industry experience is essential
- Certifications in control systems, fire protection, or telecommunications (preferred)
Education / Licenses / Certifications
- OSHA 10 is required; NFPA 70E training and valid certification preferred.

Hourly Rate:$50—$70 USDEligibility is determined according to company policy and applies only under specific conditions related to job location and travel requirements.
