We are currently seeking a Temporary IT Depot Technician to support our IT operations for peak periods, special projects, and staff absences. This role's main responsibility is to assist with the receipt, inspection, configuration, distribution of IT equipment and peripherals within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional organizational skills, and a keen attention to detail.
The Temporary IT Technician can be based out of our Red Bank, NJ office location. This will be an onsite position.

How You’ll Spend Your Time:
- Receiving incoming IT equipment, including computers, laptops, peripherals, and accessories, and verify shipments against purchase orders.
- Inspecting and assessing the condition of received items for any damage, defects, or discrepancies.
- Recording and documenting all received equipment accurately in the inventory management system.
- Preparing equipment for deployment by configuring hardware, installing operating systems, and loading necessary software applications.
- Assisting with inventory control by conducting regular stock counts, audits, and reconciliation activities.
- Packaging and labeling equipment for distribution to end-users, departments, or remote locations as needed.
- Maintaining organized and securing storage of IT assets in the depot facility.
- Collaborating with IT team members to troubleshoot technical issues, escalate problems, and facilitate equipment repairs or replacements.
- Adhering to company policies, procedures, and safety protocols while handling and storing IT equipment.
- Assisting with special projects, equipment migrations, or depot maintenance tasks as assigned by IT management.
The Kinds of People We Want to Talk to Have Many of The Following:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or training are a plus.
- Comp TIA A+ certification
- HP Hardware Support is a plus.
- Must have a reliable form of transportation.
- 100% in the office full time.
- Able to lift boxes of 50lbs
- Previous experience in IT equipment handling, depot management, or similar roles preferred.
- Familiarity with computer hardware components, peripherals, and operating systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in recording inventory data and conducting equipment inspections.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with colleagues and end-users.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, schedules, and work requirements.
- Basic knowledge of troubleshooting technical issues and providing basic IT support is advantageous.
- Availability to work temporarily as needed, including weekends or extended hours.
