About the role

<h3>Your mission</h3> <p>As a Senior Materials &amp; Processes Engineer (all genders), you will be able to work as part of Aircraft Team in the field of Materials &amp; Processes, enabling us to develop the Microliner.  <br/>The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and optimizing materials and processes to enhance the performance and safety of aerospace systems. <br/>You will be involved in the entire lifecycle of a product, from initial research and development to installation and final commissioning.</p> <h3>Your Day-to-Day</h3> <ul><li><span><span>Conduct research to develop new and improved manufacturing processes.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Develop, </span><span>modify</span><span>, and test materials used in the design of aerospace systems.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Perform failure analysis and develop solutions to address them.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Monitor material performance and evaluate material deterioration.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Interpret materials and process specifications in aerospace manufacturing.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Research and develop innovative material processing techniques.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Ensure materials and processes </span><span>comply with</span><span> health, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g. REACH, RoHS)</span></span></li><li><span><span>Work closely with design engineers to integrate materials and processes into design.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Establish and </span><span>maintain</span><span> detailed documentation of materials and processes for future reference and regulatory compliance.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Provide</span><span> technical advice to engineering and manufacturing teams on material </span><span>selection</span><span> and process optimization.</span></span></li></ul> <h3>Your profile</h3> <ul><li><span><span>Master's degree in Materials Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in aerospace materials and processes engineering in at least one </span><span>aircraft</span><span> development programs, ideally two programs.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Strong understanding of materials properties and manufacturing processes.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Proficiency</span><span> in failure analysis and problem-solving.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and agile team environment.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Excellent communication and documentation skills.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Experience with supplier collaboration.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Passioned about aviation and electrification of aviation industry.</span></span></li></ul> <h3>Why us?</h3> <ul><li><span><span>Be part of an ambitious team determined to shape the future of aviation.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Enjoy flexible working hours: we believe in ownership and trust.</span></span></li><li><span><span>subsidized EGYM </span><span>Wellpass</span><span> membership: your (mental) health is important for us</span></span></li><li><span><span>Boost your professional as well as personal growth executing your own ideas and independent projects.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Join our internal social events and retreats (e.g. cooking, game nights, sports).</span></span></li></ul>
