About our team
Welcome to Group Technology Strategy Team, where we support and direct Nordea’s transformation by providing a holistic view and structured understanding of the bank, and its surrounding environment to enable the Customer Vision and the Business Strategy. We are looking for an experienced, dynamic, and forward-thinking Strategic Partner within Group Technology to work with the implementation of our new technology strategy executing on the strategic leadership, team development, stakeholder management, and aligning efforts with Nordea's strategic objectives.
About this opportunity
Technology Strategy, a newly established unit within Group Technology, is overseeing and driving the implementation of our new technology strategy for the Head of Technology/Group CIO
The objective of the strategy is a simplified technology estate allowing Nordea to achieve its benefits of scale. To create a fit for purpose technology capability that will improve customer experience, reduce time to market, increase stability and resilience and reduce operational risk. To accomplish this, our aim is to reduce the variation of technologies through e.g., by clustering applications into new Service Area set-up and renew our operating model accordingly.
What you will be doing:
The implementation work is currently focusing on streamlining our application landscape and on establishing target technologies in the areas of infrastructure, integrations, data and cloud. We are also working to align our operating model in Technology to support the strategy implementation.
- As a Strategic Partner within Technology Strategy, in short-term, you will play an essential part in the implementation, and in longer-term our team will work to define Nordea’s strategies related to e.g., Cloud and AI. Take active part in shaping and implementing a brand new technology strategy in Nordea and the supporting operating model
- Manage implementation projects and streams
- Support in overseeing and reporting on the totality of the technology strategy implementation to our Senior Leadership

You have passion for sustainability and are determined to include this in strategy and day-to-day decision making. You have solid experience in setting a strategic direction and project execution.
- Hands-on experience in technology, strategy development/portfolio management, and/or technology operating model design
- Strategic mindset and strong problem-solving capabilities
- Highly organized with a strong ability to create structure
- Experience in working with senior executives and stakeholders to align outcomes with Nordea’s strategic objectives
- Proven track record in leading large projects, capable of navigating a complex, matrix organization and to make things move
- Competitive with a strong drive to push things forward with a positive & solution-oriented mindset
- Excellent skills in relevant tools, such as PowerPoint and Excel
