Position Summary...

Help drive a culture of experimentation and data-driven decision-making at Walmart scale to continuously evolve and improve the customer experience.
We are seeking an experienced engineer to support and build systems to further enable the self-serve experimentation community at Walmart.

What you'll do...

This position sits on the Walmart Experimentation Platform team. Our goal is to deliver a superior experience to our testers making it easier to create, monitor, analyze, and act on experiments. Our A/B Testing platform helps our customers make critical business decisions across all of Walmart.

About Team:
Building the right technology foundation for Infrastructure & platforms is vital to success at the scale of Walmart. Our team builds and maintains the foundational technologies that support the tech organization. Included in this are data platforms, enterprise architecture, DevOps, cloud computing, and infrastructure. All of these products and services are supported by scalable and powerful infrastructure, ensuring a secure and seamless employee and customer experience across stores, digital channels, and distribution centers.

What you'll do:

·Lead and participate in medium- to large-scale projects by reviewing requirements; translating requirements into technical solutions; designing solutions (design docs, wireframes, implementation plans); writing and developing code; testing; collaborating with cross functional teams; troubleshooting open issues and bug-fixes; ensuring on-time delivery.
·Troubleshoot business and production issues by gathering information (issue, impact, criticality, root cause); engaging support teams to assist in the resolution of issues; formulating an action plan; and performing actions as designated in the plan.
·Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.

Skills:
·Proven software development expertise with one or more: Java, Scala, Lua, Go, Rust, Node
·Maintaining and deploying computing environments across local and cloud-based systems
·Experience developing and maintaining large-scale systems
·Ability to proactively manage projects and troubleshoot issues

Plusses:
· Experience working with Experimentation (A/B Testing)
· Experience working with Feature Flags and risk-mitigated deployments
· Experience building data solutions and AI/ML products
