Job Summary

The Laundry Attendant/Custodian plays a pivotal role in ensuring the cleanliness and organization of various areas within the facility. Responsible for washing and distributing uniforms, maintaining locker rooms, press level bathrooms, mezzanine level bathrooms, and Levy Manager's office spaces, this role requires meticulous attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to cleanliness standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, the ability to handle high-volume workloads, and maintain a calm demeanor in fast-paced environments.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Laundry Management:

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute uniforms for staff members.
• Ensure proper inventory management of uniforms and laundry supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry area.

Cleaning and Maintenance:

• Clean and sanitize locker rooms, ensuring they are presentable and well-maintained.
• Maintain cleanliness of bathrooms on both mezzanine and press levels, including regular restocking of supplies.
• Vacuum, mop, and dust Levy Manager's office spaces to ensure a tidy and professional environment.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as light bulb replacements and minor repairs.

Trash Management:

• Collect and dispose of trash from respective areas, ensuring adherence to waste management guidelines.
• Monitor trash levels and coordinate with appropriate personnel for disposal as needed.

Customer Service:

• Provide courteous and friendly assistance to staff members and visitors.
• Maintain a calm and professional demeanor, especially during periods of high volume or demanding situations.
• Respond promptly to requests and address any concerns regarding cleanliness and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in custodial or laundry services preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Self Sufficient
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and lift/move heavy objects if necessary.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
   

Job Requirements/Skills

• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods, ranging 6-12 hours, during events or as required by operational demands.
• Must be able to perform physical tasks, including walking, standing, ascending/descending stairs, as necessary.
• Exposure to heat, steam, and cold temperatures within the kitchen environment.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel
