25-10188 Human Resource Specialist I GA/HR

Responsibilities: Seeking a high energy, creative, self-motivated individual to work with a dynamic hiring team under the supervision of the Human Resources Manager.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, posting new positons, screening applicants, making job offers and assisting managers with hiring related policies and procedures including behavioral based interviewing and compliance with collective bargaining agreements.  May be assigned to recruitment, and pre/post hire verification including but not limited to reference checks, criminal background checks, verification of licensure, and credential verification.  Answers a wide range of human resource/personnel related questions regarding the hiring process, policies, procedures, etc.  Responsible for carrying out all activities of the department in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies, and procedures.  

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor and Industrial Relations or related field required.  A minimum of one year of experience in Human Resources or a closely related field required.    Six years of experience directly hiring for complex positions will be considered on a case by case basis in lieu of education.  Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing is required.

Salary/Hours: Salary commensurate with experience. 40 hours per week.
