The Deposit Operations Team Lead I is responsible for the day-to-day guidance of a unit or team in an operations department. The Deposit Operations Team Lead I acts as an experienced resource for the team. Supervision is usually limited to day-to-day work load coordination, resolution of routine procedural problems, and is most often confined to a single operations process. The job performs the same or similar work as the rest of the unit supervised.
This position is within the levy department.
Depth & Scope:
- Acts as a resource for team and resolves most issues escalated by supervised employees
- Performs many tasks normally associated with group/team that is being led
- Schedules and assigns the workload of supervised team
- Assists in monitoring progress toward team goals and modifies schedule/workload to ensure completion of objectives
- May provide input and assistance to management in developing and maintaining budget as requested
- May suggest changes or modifications to policies and procedures to supervisor based on day-to-day observations and activities
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-3 years of related experience
- Some previous guidance experience preferred
- Knowledge of deposit services policies and procedures is required or other relevant banking operations experience
- Some experience in one or more deposit services functions is preferred
- Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize workload to meet unit objectives
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills are also required
- Ability to provide guidance to others, clarifying complex policies and procedures and facilitating knowledge-sharing in the work group
- Levy or legal experience, preferred
