About the role
This role is responsible for leading complex international intercompany accounting and supports global intercompany treasury activities within a multinational environment. Responsible for the governance, reconciliation, and oversight of intercompany balances across global entities, ensuring accuracy, timely resolution of discrepancies, and compliance with internal policies and applicable accounting standards.
Responsibilities
Lead the preparation and review of trade and inventory intercompany reconciliations during the month-end close, including preparing or sharing invoices for statutory reporting and recording activity domestically, while partnering with global finance teams to ensuring timely resolution of variances and accurate alignment of balances across global entities.
Record or oversee the recording of intercompany activity related to loans, transfer pricing, and royalties by calculating and communicating interest on loans, mark-up on inventory, and royalty income and expense, ensuring all affiliates accurately record amounts monthly.
Partner closely with treasury and global finance teams to manage and record transactions related to the company’s in-house bank, supporting effective liquidity management and intercompany financing structures.
Calculate and record the fair value of assets acquired or liabilities assumed in connection with acquisitions under ASC 805. Record the cost of all new acquisitions and, if applicable, update amounts recorded for post-acquisition changes or adjustments.
Perform various account reconciliations for certain asset and liability accounts, including trade intercompany accounts, intercompany loans and intercompany royalty. Prepare and maintain the related accounting records in conformity with assigned Sarbanes-Oxley processes and controls.
Prepare and submit required government census and regulatory reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with reporting requirements and deadlines.
Oversee the accounting and financial planning for intangible assets, including budgeting, expense recognition, and alignment with long-term business strategies.
Complete ad hoc analyses of general ledger balances and other reports and analyses upon request by management. Provide support to internal and external auditors on assigned areas.
Knowledge, skills & abilities requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
3-5 years of accounting experience required, with a minimum of 1 year of experience in international consolidations preferred
- Sarbanes Oxley compliance experience desired
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
Excellent analytical and communication skills
Ability to prepare and process journal entries
Attention to detail
Ability to achieve strict deadlines
- CPA certification preferred, but not required
- Experience in month-end close processes preferred
Oracle Cloud EPM experience is a plus
