Qualifications :
Preferred : Master’s degree in business or a healthcare related field and 1-3 years of academic healthcare related experience, including data collection & management, stakeholder engagement and retention strategies in an academic health science center setting highly desired.
• Ability to build, maintain and manage collaborative relationships and initiatives across the MUSC enterprise.
• Ability to design, implement and monitor projects that enhance enterprise-wide strategic goals related to equity engagement & retention.
• Strong project management, problem-solving, organizational and communication skills (oral and written).

Job Description
- Implementation of development plans and programs for at-risk and disengaged
cohorts within the workforce, using best practices in equity, inclusion, and organizational
development to reduce engagement and retention gaps.
- Improvement and support of ongoing community engagement strategies, including but
not limited to partnerships with the Charleston RiverDogs and South Carolina Stingrays.
Responsibilities include communications, engagement, and outreach; strategic
communication (website, communications, and marketing) and outreach (internal,
including Regional Health Networks, and external); social and engagement programs and
event planning for departmental programs such as Earl B. Higgins initiatives, cultural
observations, and culture engagement coordination.
- Coordination of strategic logistics, timelines, and other planning processes related to
equity and inclusion engagement, with a focus on faculty, nursing, and the Regional Health
Network workforce.
- Creation and maintenance of a repository with targeted action matrices and other
strategic planning data and materials, serving as a key stakeholder for equity engagement
and retention across the Enterprise.
- Improvement and support of ongoing engagement and retention strategies for MUSC
Health Regional Health Networks (RHNs) and affiliates, focusing on inclusion, equity, and
accessibility.
- Fulfillment of responsibilities as assigned as a member of the MUSC Enterprise Office
of Equity team.
This is a highly forward-facing, customer-service-oriented role requiring strong interpersonal
skills, adaptability, and schedule flexibility.
