Okta is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to focus on driving critical, cross-functional programs for our Customer Identity Cloud Product Unit. The Senior Technical Program Manager will partner with Security, Product and Engineering teams to implement, maintain, and optimize complex operational processes, inclusive of clarifying needs and value, securing commitment from teams across the organization, setting timelines, and facilitating ongoing delivery and execution. This role will report to the Manager, Technical Portfolio Management.
You will:
- Partner with Security, Product, Engineering, Program Management, and other stakeholders to manage complex and large-scale cross-team initiatives, clarify needs and value, secure commitments from teams across the organization, set timelines, and lead activities from design through delivery.
- Identify and create solutions to impediments or bottlenecks that pose a risk to program success and communicate trade-offs that may result from these solutions.
- Map dependencies and relationships between programs, domains, and teams, managing the program plan across disparate functions.
- Ask questions that clarify priorities and scope and enable the team to be highly effective.
- Communicate updates in a clear, consistent, and meaningful way, including publishing regular status and health updates to stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and provide transparency into program goals, commitments, risks, progress, and deliverable quality.
- Engage and energize the teams to achieve aggressive goals.
- Develop broad domain and technical knowledge.
Might be a good fit if you have:
- 5+ years of technical program/project management experience in a software, SaaS, or systems development environment.
- Track record of collaboration in order to manage and successfully deliver large scale technology programs.
- Experience with security concepts like risk management, including mitigation and remediation.
- Ability to clearly communicate and establish credibility with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including an executive audience.
- Ability to influence and work through others within a matrix organization.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills, especially in a remote environment.
- Passion for understanding ambiguous, complex problems and driving high-quality, innovative, and robust solutions.
- Experience with agile and other program management methodologies.
- Strong attention to detail and focus on execution in a data-informed environment.
- A passion for enabling teams to adopt, manage, and optimize processes and tooling.

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location.
