Electrical Drafter

Responsibilities/Job Duties:

• Creating technical wiring and power layout diagrams and specifications sheets.
• Generate component list from the given equipment information, I/O list, and panel specifications.
• Control of drawing data.
• Standardization of various electrical drawings.
• Engineering work improvement using AutoCAD Electrical or similar drafting software.
• Ensure the electrical plans meet all regulatory and safety requirements.
• Interact with engineering personnel and other staff to resolve identified issues.
• Review and revise drawings as necessary to meet project requirements.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation of all drawings and design files
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Must be proficient in "AutoCAD Electrical".
• Knowledge of IEC, UL for Electrical Design.
• Work experience in Vault a plus.
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Detail oriented
• Must be able to work in a team environment and follow deadlines.
• Proactive, positive, professional, team-minded, and self-motivating

Education and Experience:

• Associates degree in drafting required.
• At least 3 years’ experience in drafting work related to electrical/control panel design work.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to access and navigate all areas of construction sites.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
