We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Facilities Business Unit in Wilkes-Barre, PA. This person will be responsible for research, design calculations  and coordination of project specifications with support from a staff of technical personnel including other engineers.

Responsibilities:

• Performs design, analysis, planning and modeling as required
• Performs research  as required, providing results of research to support the team as needed
• Prepares design computations and quantity estimates to develop design plan documents
• Instructs draftspersons / technicians to reduce designs to working drawings
• Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.  Performs some CADD/REVIT drafting
• Provides reports of research and design as required
• Reviews results maintaining close contact with project manager and senior engineers, keeping them informed with issues or concerns or changes required in schedule or process
• Assists in client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects
• Attends client meetings

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university
• 5 or more years' experience in commercial/ industrial building structural design
• Familiarity with design requirements for Building and Structural Design Codes
• Working knowledge of STAAD and RAM structural software
• Experience with Revit a plus
• PE certification required
• Must be able to pass a background check to be considered
