Job Description
We are seeking an experienced hospitality professional to lead our guest services team at the newly renovated Normal Marriott. This full-service hotel features 228 guest rooms and over 24,000 sq. ft. of event space, serving as a central hub for meetings, conferences, and social events in the Bloomington-Normal community. Conveniently located near Illinois State University and Uptown Normal’s shops, dining, and cultural attractions, this is a prime opportunity to make an impact at a top-performing property.
What You’ll Do
Lead & Inspire: Manage and motivate our front office team, setting clear expectations and holding associates accountable for success.
Champion the Guest Experience: Anticipate needs, resolve concerns, and create memorable stays that build loyalty.
Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with all departments to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
Drive Performance: Manage labor costs, control expenses, and identify opportunities to increase revenue.
Uphold Standards: Maintain brand guidelines and cleanliness expectations, stepping in to support as needed.
Be the Go-To Leader: Serve as Manager on Duty, ensuring smooth operations and a superior guest experience at all times.
What We’re Looking For
2+ years of front desk experience – You know the ins and outs of hotel operations and can keep things running seamlessly.
2+ years of supervisory experience – You’ve led teams, coached employees, and fostered strong workplace culture.
Tech proficiency – You navigate Microsoft Office with ease (Word, Excel, Teams).
Schedule flexibility – Hospitality runs 24/7, and you’re ready to jump in where needed.
Hands-on approach – Physically able to lift, move, and assist as part of the team.
