Banner Desert Medical Center/Banner Children’s at Desert has 28 Operating Rooms, which includes 3 trauma rooms, 6 pediatric rooms, 1 cysto suite, 4 minimally invasive and 5 robotic rooms.  BDMC/CCMC offers a full range of surgical specialties, including Peds Cardiovascular and Adult and Peds Trauma, Urology, Orthopedics, General, Gynecology, Neurology, EENT, Plastics and Robotics. We are the busiest OR in the valley, fast paced, and performing high acuity cases. In 2017, BDMC/CCMC performed over 21,000 surgeries. Our technologies includes da Vinci Xi robot, NICO, Stealth guided brain surgery. Banner Desert Medical Center is recognized by US News as High Performing Hospital in Procedure/Condition Category. We have an opportunity available for a Rad Tech to join our Special Procedures OR team at Banner Desert Medical Center. You will partner with providers and OR staff to perform diagnostic/interventional special procedures and images. You will have a significant impact on our patient population and the OR team overall.

Preferred Qualifications: Prior IR and/or OR c-arm experience, highly preferred! Will not consider new grads at this time.

SHIFT DETAILS

Employment Type: Full-time

Hours per Week: 4-10s | 40hrs

Shift: 6:30A-5P

Schedule: Monday - Friday, days varied

On Call: Yes, weekend and holiday rotations required.

Enjoy a flat rate $1/hour weekend shift differential and an 18%-night shift differential when applicable.

*** Sign On incentive requires 12 months of RT experience and a 24 month commitment to the position.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position performs prescribed specialized radiographic procedures as directed by following department/facility policies, procedures and protocols. This position ensures optimal care/treatment to patient population.

CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Performs radiographic diagnostic/interventional special procedures by following and verifying referring providers’ orders. Uses independent judgment and applies learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures.

2. Educates patients/families regarding procedure and/or treatment to be performed. Demonstrates professional behavior/conduct in all interactions; fosters teamwork, efficient use of resources and quality patient outcomes.
