U.S. Bank is seeking a full-time Senior Software Engineer – API Microservices (Multiple openings) in Irving, TX.
Essential Responsibilities:
The Senior Software Engineer – API Microservices is responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of best-in-class software experiences. This role takes responsibility of the software artifacts produced adhering to U.S. Bank standards to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience.
Specific duties include: (1) ensuring all aspects of product development follow compliance and security best practices; (2) utilizing Splunk system to provide log monitoring, searching, and analyzing capabilities; (3) developing client/server and web-based platforms using Java and J2EE technologies, including extensive design, development, and deployment experience in Web services, SOA, J2EE Technologies, Spring, Hibernate, and JMS; (4) contributing to a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement; (5) working in Java EE design and development; (6) implementing Microservices and API development using Java, Spring boot, and GraphQL; (7) working in Cloud native development in AWS and Azure; (8) analyzing the bigger picture, identifying and prioritizing with the aim to consider more than one domain within an analysis; (9) collaborating on all aspects of product development; and (10) working with the following tools and technologies: Java, HTML, Jenkins, GIT, CSS, SQL, Jira, SOAP, XML, Maven, Eclipse, Gitlab, Oracle, JSON, and PLSQL. Up to 5% of domestic travel required.
Basic Qualifications:
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Information Systems, or Computer Science (the company will accept a 3 year or 4-year bachelor’s degree) and 5 years (progressive, post-baccalaureate) experience in Java EE design and development.
Required Skills/Experience:
Must also have 24 months of experience with each of the following: (1) implementing Microservices and API development using Java, Spring boot, and GraphQL; (2) utilizing Splunk system to provide log monitoring, searching, and analyzing capabilities; (3) working in Cloud native development in AWS, and Azure; (4) developing client/server and web-based platforms using Java and J2EE technologies, including extensive design, development, and deployment experience in Web services, SOA, J2EE Technologies, Spring, Hibernate, and JMS; and (5) working with the following tools and technologies: Java, HTML, Jenkins, GIT, CSS, SQL, Jira, SOAP, XML, Maven, Eclipse, Gitlab, Oracle, JSON, and PLSQL. Employer will accept experience gained concurrently. Up to 5% of domestic travel required.
