Director, Business Operations Supporting OCI Infrastructure

Join Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) as we expand our global footprint and accelerate our AI and cloud infrastructure growth.  We are seeking a Director of Business Operations to support Operational Forecasting to build and lead the function responsible for forecasting revenue, power demand, as well as fixed and variable expenses associated with OCI’s rapidly scaling infrastructure. This role sits at the center of OCI’s short and long-range planning and will ensure leaders have a clear, accurate, and actionable view of the demand signals that shape capital allocation, energy planning, and operational strategy.

You will oversee our forecasting engine—designing processes, building automated reporting frameworks, driving operational rigor, and enabling decisions at scale. You will collaborate across Finance, Capacity Planning, Data Center Operations, Engineering, and others to establish a single source of truth for all forward-looking operational metrics.

Responsibilities

Forecasting & Analytics

- Own and evolve forecasting models for revenue, power demand, and infrastructure-related operating expenses (fixed and variable).

- Develop multi-horizon forecasts (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual) that inform capacity planning, budgeting, and long-term investment decisions.

- Create and maintain forecasting methodologies that are reliable, transparent, and easily auditable.

 

Operational Excellence & Reporting

- Build automated reporting structures and data flows that reduce manual work and improve timeliness, accuracy, and scalability.

- Establish governance around data inputs, assumptions, calculation logic, and forecast version control.

- Deliver clear, executive-ready narratives that translate complex models into business insights.

 

Process Optimization & Automation

- Assess current workflows and eliminate friction in data intake, modeling, and output.

- Lead efforts to streamline upstream and downstream processes so forecasts are timely, repeatable, and minimally dependent on manual interventions.

- Champion solutions that scale with OCI’s rapid infrastructure growth.

 

Team Leadership

- Build and develop a high-performing forecasting team; provide coaching, mentorship, and thought partnership.

- Align team responsibilities to organizational priorities while creating space for innovation and continuous improvement.

 

The Ideal Candidate

Expertise

- Deep experience in forecasting, financial modeling, energy or power demand modeling, or infrastructure economics.

- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, capacity planning, or operational finance preferred.

 

Data & Technical Skills

- Exceptional analytical skills with mastery in forecasting techniques (statistical, driver-based, regression, scenario analysis, etc.).

- Advanced proficiency in Excel, dashboarding tools, and data extraction/analysis (SQL preferred).

- Ability to structure messy data environments and enforce data quality.

 

Leadership & Collaboration

- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional partners across Finance, Operations, and Engineering.

- Proven success building mechanisms, processes, and reporting structures from the ground up.

- Strong communicator capable of distilling complex insights for executive audiences.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.

- 10+ years of experience in forecasting, financial planning, operational analytics, or related functions—preferably in cloud, technology, infrastructure, or energy.

- Experience with analytics tools, automation, and dashboarding platforms.ives in order to arrive at best practices.

Plans, manages, and controls the activities of a team that provides operational support for a business segment, group or team. Brings expertise or identifies subject matter experts in support of multi-functional efforts in process improvement, data capture and analysis, infrastructure support, tool ownership and compliance with procedures, etc.
