Senior DataStage Engineer

What you’ll do

• Drive End-to-End Data Integration: From technical analysis to deployment and monitoring, you’ll own the full data pipeline lifecycle.
• Unlock Data Potential: Leverage your expertise in IBM DataStage to connect diverse data sources to our Information Warehouse and Customer Analytics DataMarts.
• Fuel Customer 360° Insights: Collaborate with functional analysts to deliver high-quality, relevant data that powers customer segmentation, behavior analysis, and personalized services.
• Innovate and Optimize: Work alongside a skilled team of engineers and analysts to continuously improve data flows, streamline processes, and enhance the end-user experience.
• Shape the Future: Contribute to strategic initiatives like cloud migration and the adoption of modern data tools and platforms.
• Ensure Excellence: Maintain high standards for data quality, reliability, and timeliness across all systems.

Your work environment

ING works agile in multi-disciplinary teams (i.e. squads) based on Scrum and DevOps. As an engineer you work in a squad, but you are also part of a cross-squad expertise focused chapter. In your case, that is the Data Processing chapter.

In addition, you recognize yourself in the following profile:

• Fluency in English
• Working experience in SQL
• 10 of experience in Data environment especially IBM datastage
• Experience in end-to-end delivery of a data integration solution, including deployment and management
• Working experience in IBM Infosphere DataStage is a must
• Experience in Scheduling tools is a plus (preferably UAC)
• Knowledge of Oracle is a plus
• Familiar with test driven development (pre)
• Good knowledge of dimensional modelling
• Working experience in GIT
