Job Description

AECOM is currently seeking a Business Development Administrator II for our Orange, CA office. This position will provide administrative and project support to the Business Development Team. 

This position will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Under direct supervision, performs specific and limited portions of broader assignments
  • Displays knowledge and ability to apply techniques and procedures within a narrow scope of expertise
  • Provides ongoing support activities to Business Development Functions
  • Speak to prospective clients and vendors, both in person, email and on the phone with confidence and enthusiasm
  • Creating and fostering relationships with Clients, partners and associates
  • Review and summarize documents
  • Work effectively as part of a team
  • Travel to approved events within Southern California, and AECOM office locations to attend meetings, events and to record notes
  • Possess a high degree of organizational skills, IT skills, and the ability to balance a wide variety of tasks, be a self-starter, provide logistical organization for events at various locations
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to show initiative and autonomy will be required together with an ability to work under pressure in a variety of situations
  • Create a network of contacts to attract new clients, Liaising w/ partner firms, research new market opportunities, monitor bid platforms and portals, make projections and forecasting to target prospects and organizations associated with these tasks
  • Produce and maintain region documentation and reporting, keep a calendar of opportunities, databases of various Business Development components

Qualifications

Minium Requirements

  • HS + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Some travel required
  • Able to work from an AECOM office location and remotely when required

Preferred Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
