Rehabilitation Technician Outpatient Physical Therapy Center

Come join our team of patient focused outpatient rehabilitation professionals at Inova Physical Therapy located in Alexandria, VA as a Rehab Technician. This position will work Monday – Friday and will need to work 2 evenings a week. Help support our patients and therapy staff in the day to day operations of the center. This is ideal for someone looking to get into the world of Physical Therapy and see how a rehab center can change lives. 

The Rehabilitation Technician adheres to facility policy in the maintenance of treatment areas, equipment, and supplies. Assists with the provision of treatment under the guidance/direction of a Therapist while demonstrating essential skill competencies in the use of treatment modalities. Communicates effectively via written and verbal communication with patients, families, medical staff, healthcare team members, students, supervisors, and outside contacts. Completes all administrative and other responsibilities in support of the operating unit.

Job Responsibilities:

 

• Maintains a clean, safe and orderly treatment area and Maintains equipment upkeep and inventory.
• Maintains supplies at the appropriate par levels and in established timeframes at the direction of the supervisor.
• Assists with the provision of treatment under the guidance/direction of a Therapist.
• Effectively prepares and arranges supplies for the treatment of patients.
• Adheres to the established guidelines for patient care by the treating Therapist.
• Utilizes precautions for safety during the provision of services.
• Contacts Therapists if there are any changes in patients' conditions or changes in responses to treatments.

Schedule: M-F, two late shifts a week (until 7pm) 40 hours

Requirements:

Certification - Basic Life Support Upon Start. MUST BE FROM AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION

Licensure - Not required

Experience - Not required 

Education - High School or GED
