THE ROLE:

Entegris is currently seeking Mold Maker V to join our team.  This position will be based at our Colorado Springs, CO facility.

A Mold Maker is responsible for building, revising and maintaining Entegris and customer owned molds, tooling, and fixtures by performing machining and mechanical processes, methods, techniques and other miscellaneous job duties.  This individual provides support for Production and Product Development through process and product improvements. 

HOURS FOR THIS POSITION ARE 3PM-11:30PM MONDAY-FRIDAY.

RELOCATION ASSISTANCE POSSIBLE IF LIVING IN ANOTHER STATE OR LONG DISTANCE FROM COLORADO SPRINGS

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Support production by building, maintaining, and repairing molds as needed to ensure minimal downtime 
• Perform in-press tool repairs, when possible, to enable quick turnaround and maintain production flow 
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in mold files, including records of ECO changes and repairs for future reference 
• Operate all Tool Room equipment with a high level of competency, including CNC mills, CNC EDMs, wire EDMs, grinders, and precision hand tools for polishing 
• Utilize Mastercam, SolidWorks, and Pro/E software to create or modify moderately complex solid models 
• Troubleshoot and diagnosis related to mold cycling, mold function in the press, and other tooling or fixture concerns 
• Support broader production goals by completing additional tasks such as fixture fabrication, end-of-arm tooling, secondary operations, and ancillary machining projects 
• Communicate effectively with cell team members and tool room support staff to ensure smooth operations 
• Operate a variety of hand tools, including calipers, air impact wrenches, microscopes, and other precision instruments

WHAT WE SEEK:

• High school degree or equivalency required 
• A 2-year degree in mold making, apprenticeship or equivalent experience 
• 5 years plus work experience as a mold/ tool maker in a tool room / job shop environment preferred  
• Possess mold making competencies (design, build, revise, repair, troubleshoot)  
• Problem solving and mechanical troubleshooting skills  
• Works well independently and with a group on collaborative projects; able to take direction and instruction   
• Good attention to detail; ability to perform basic math computations and computer data entry 
• The willingness to work occasional overtime or weekends as needed to support business demands; flexibility is appreciated, though such instances are rare. 
• Ability to read and understand work instructions and perform math computations and computer data entry   
• Ability to lift 50 lbs., walk and stand during entire shift in a manufacturing environment  
• Ability to visually detect quality defects.  
• Ability to use measuring devices, hand tools and power tools 
• Ability to repetitively pinch and grasp hand tools, repetitively twist, bend and reach upward and handle small screws, washers, fasteners, etc. 
• Ability to use ladders, lifts, platforms and get forklift certified if required to perform job
