The Director, Marketing Operations, is responsible and accountable for managing the Marketing Communications and Customer Engagement for NAM Lab Diagnostics. These teams are responsible for all external facing content, communications, and programs that build industry awareness, drive lead gen programs, and enable customer engagement through the sales organization. As a member of the Marketing Leadership Team (MLT), this role requires an individual who is deeply strategic and collaborative, experienced working across a matrixed organization, and confident managing a high performing team. This individual works closely with the USA, Canada and Global Business Line teams, and peers aligned to the other business areas and business lines.
The senior-level position reports to the SVP of NAM Marketing for Lab Diagnostics.
Responsibilities
Strategy & Operations
- Actively engage with marketing leadership and business leadership to align business goals to team goals – enabling collaboration and prioritization across the team
- Establish and maintain partnerships with internal partners including LS global marketing, NAM digital marketing, and internal center of excellence teams to drive regional business goals
- Act as business point of contact with external agencies, aligning with internal vendor management team and procurement to manage relationships and oversee specific projects and programs
- Manage internal sales enablement site and communications process to ensure a partnership between marketing & sales teams – aligning with internal communications to coordinate with leadership communications
- Align with PR & media teams, connecting marcom campaigns and communications as needed
- Manage enterprise activities budget – reconciling with central marketing budget management and finance.
- Incorporate competitive intelligence into framework for the sales team.
Marketing Communications
- Lead the marcom team, managing R/Rs across the team, operations and processes to support the marketing team at scale
- Lead content & campaign activities led by the marcom team – leveraging customer journey mapping to determine effective channels & KPIs
- Lead the digital marketing strategy and execution – interfacing with the NAM digital marketing team on website, tech stack, privacy & consent & digital roadmap plans
- Business line owner for lead management – ensuring alignment across sales, marketing and sales operations for lead assignment rules, MQL criteria, and lead tracking and reporting
- Country business line lead for regulatory and compliance – including overseeing the QR7 review process, interfacing with legal, regulatory and compliance teams and participating in annual audits
- Collaborate across the team to determine reporting processes for all marcom and digital activities – reviewing campaign and channel performance, best practices and piloting new strategies for influence and attribution
Customer Engagement & Advocacy
- Lead the customer engagement team, managing R/Rs across the team, operations and processes to support the business line at scale
- Responsible for oversight of customer facing programs to support the sales cycle and active opportunities including Mobile Labs, Customer Visits and Reference Sites
- Collaborate across the team to determine an effective advocacy strategy to bring forward voice of customer content, partnering with marcom to determine effective content utilization strategies
- Business line lead for marketing led events & exhibitions- partnering with tradeshows team for execution and driving business line annual calendar, & promotional plans in alignment with marcom and lead management. Lead for ADLM.
- Oversight into process to support sales led regional conference participation
- Partnership with sales leadership to align on program goals, R/Rs across sales & marketing, and reporting
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in B2B marketing, IVD/healthcare experience is a plus, related fields.
