What you'll do

We are looking for a Product Manager – Zuora Billing & Payments, with expertise in Zuora's subscription billing and deep knowledge of payment gateway integrations (CyberSource, Adyen, Stripe, PayPal, etc.). You will play a key role in enhancing subscription billing, billing automation, payment processing, and fraud prevention to improve customer experiences and maximize revenue collection. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, sales, finance, and customer success teams to develop and execute a product strategy that aligns with business goals.

 

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Sr. Manager, Product Management.

 

Responsibility

  • Own the product roadmap for billing and payment solutions within Zuora, ensuring seamless integration with CyberSource, Adyen, and other payment gateways

  • Optimize payment processing workflows, supporting multi-currency, multi-region payments, and diverse payment methods (credit cards, ACH, wallets, etc.)

  • Partner with payment service providers (PSPs) to enhance transaction success rates and reduce chargebacks

  • Drive innovation and automation in subscription billing models, invoicing, refunds, and reconciliation processes within Zuora Revenue and Zuora Billing

  • Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to continuously improve payment experiences and billing accuracy

  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather feedback and identify key pain points

  • Act as a subject matter expert on billing, payments, and invoicing for internal teams

  • Lead requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders and ensure that requirements are clear, understood, documented and approved by stakeholders

  • Analyze business requirements followed by documentation of requirements and translate into user stories and corresponding actionable tasks along with acceptance criteria

  • Develop partnership with business stakeholders and advocate for customer centric solutions that align with business objectives

  • Collaborate with engineering and architects regarding solution design, implementation, support, maintenance and enhancement of the application

  • Coach and mentor team members to make them more effective

Job Designation

Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring

Basic

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or Business Administration
  • 8+ years of Information Technology experience in a fast paced environment
  • 4+ years of Product Management experience in subscription billing and payments
  • Experience with Zuora Billing, Payments, and Revenue Recognition
  • Experience integrating Cybersource, Adyen, Stripe, PayPal, or other PSPs
  • Experience with payment processing, fraud prevention, and regulatory compliance
  • Experience with APIs, payment orchestration, and reconciliation workflows

Preferred

  • IT industry experience at enterprise scale
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with high attention to detail
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and manage projects independently
  • Ability to excel in a fast-growing/fast-paced environment, delivering accuracy while managing deadlines where adaptability is imperative
