This position will be part of the GLOBAL OPERATIONS--The global operations team’s vision is to be the global technology leader in TE‘s core manufacturing processes by driving Continuous Improvement and Innovation.  We use a collaborative approach that leverages innovation and teamwork.

Work Location
The location for this position is Winston Salem, NC  (Street Address: 3700 REIDSVILLE Road, WINSTON SALEM, NC)

Job Overview 
As an Intern in the Global Operations Business Unit, you will:
•    Support the Manufacturing Engineering team in improving manufacturing processes using structured problem-solving skills.
•    Support Operations in resolving production issues and implementing permanent solutions.
•    Be in a dynamic role where you will improve yields, assist with quality controls, and improve process capability.  

Responsibilities
•    Design and coordinate standard engineering tests and experiments.
•    Design, procure, and fabricate tooling and fixtures.
•    Assist in planning, organization, and conducting all aspects of technical studies.
•    Assist in writing Manufacturing Process Instructions.
•    Provide engineering support for other departments as needed.
•    Works on special administrative projects as directed and prioritized by manager such as data entry, data analysis, filing, organizing, and maintaining files.
•    Prepare and complete a presentation to the department and for personal portfolio at the end of the internship showing project status and achievements.

You’re the kind of person we are looking for if you:
•    Have Received a High School Diploma or GED
•    Are currently enrolled in a program or pursuing a BA/BS Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering from an accredited college or university or have equivalent work history. (In certain circumstances, students who are taking a gap year will be considered.)
•    Have previous internship or large project experience is preferred
•    Are authorized to work in the U.S.

Compensation  
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $18.20 – 38.64/hour (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
