Deposit Analyst with commercial focus to NOBA Bank Group

The Treasury department is responsible for all funding, risk- and liquidity management and capital on Group level. NOBA:s main source of funding is deposit from the general public across mutliple countries. Other important fundings sources includes structred funding as well as unscured bonds. As part of our Deposit Funding team, you will help ensure cost-effective and diversified funding for NOBA Bank Group. You will join a committed, positive and ambitious department that values initiative, ownership, and collaboration. About the role

As a Deposit Analyst you work closely with both commercial and financial functions, serving as an important link between departments such as Legal, Customer Operations, Marketing, and Product & Tech. You have clear ownership of deposits at Bank Norwegian and work broadly with everything from analysis, monitoring deposit flows and market changes, to coordinating interest rate changes and driving the development of new and existing products.

You will work with and report to the Head of Funding. You will collaborate closely with other colleagues within Treasury, as well as cross-functionally within NOBA, acting as the central point of contact for all matters related to deposits within the bank, with a strong focus on our Bank Norwegian branch. You will lead projects related to deposits, participate in product development, analyze cost of funds (CoF), and contribute input and analysis to management and board of directors. In addition, some administrative tasks related to our deposit products are included.

To succeed in this role, you need to have a good understanding of deposit products, processes, and the market, as well as insight into our competitors’ offerings. You stay constantly updated on market developments through market monitoring, peer analysis, and macro analysis, and use this knowledge to develop and improve our offerings.

Who we're looking for

• Speaks and writes Norwegian or Swedish, as well as English fluently
• Holds a university degree in Business Administration, Economics, Law, Engineering, or equivalent
• Enjoys number crunching, analysis and working with large sets of data
• Has 2-3 years of relevant experience from the banking and finance sector
• Has experience working in and driving projects and/or product development

You are proactive and accustomed to independently prioritizing and driving initiatives. You are structured and meticulous, with a keen eye for improving processes and routines. Furthermore, you collaborate and communicate easily with colleagues from different parts of the organization as well as with external partners.
