Principal Partnerships Manager, Payments
IntuitAbout the role
Money movement is one of Intuit's fastest-growing businesses — the engine behind every card payment, ACH transfer, real-time payment, instant deposit, bill pay, and cross-border transaction that flows through our platform. Behind each of those transactions is a network of partners: card networks, acquirers and processors, sponsor banks, payment networks, digital wallets, and risk and compliance providers. The terms, economics, and resilience of those partnerships directly shape how fast we grow, how healthy our margins are, and how good the experience is for tens of millions of customers.
The Principal Partnerships Manager, Payments owns that entire partner ecosystem — sourcing, structuring, and negotiating the external relationships, and orchestrating the internal alignment across Engineering, Product, Business Development, Legal, and Data Science needed to turn each deal into real, measurable value. This is a senior individual-contributor role with outsized scope: you'll operate everywhere from the boardroom to the contract redline to the launch dashboard, in a business where the partner landscape and regulatory backdrop are moving fast — and where your decisions have direct, visible impact on Intuit's growth.
We're looking for a strategic, commercially sharp, and results-driven partnerships leader to define and execute Intuit's money movement partner strategy. You'll own a portfolio of our most critical payments partners, go out and source new relationships that expand what we can offer and improve our economics, and act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on build-vs-buy-vs-partner decisions across the money movement value chain.
This role sits at the intersection of high-stakes external negotiation and high-influence internal leadership. You'll negotiate directly with partner organizations, and you'll lead — without direct authority — the cross-functional effort across Product, Engineering, Business Development, Legal, Finance, Treasury, and Data Science that brings each partnership to market and scales it. Few roles in fintech offer this level of end-to-end ownership over how money actually moves for a platform this size.
Responsibilities
Define, own, and execute the multi-year partnership strategy for payments and money movement, aligned to growth, margin, speed-to-market, and risk objectives. Continuously evaluate build vs. buy vs. partner tradeoffs and bring new perspectives on how to achieve product and business goals.
Source, structure, and negotiate complex commercial agreements across the money movement ecosystem — card networks, acquirers and processors, sponsor and partner banks, ACH/RTP/FedNow and other payment rails, wallets, and KYC/fraud/risk providers — securing favorable economics and terms while building durable partner relationships.
