The Syndication Servicing Team Manager is responsible and accountable for leading the syndication servicing team within Loan Services. This position manages daily syndicated loan operations, drives team responsibilities, and ensures alignment with CIBC’s strategic initiatives. The manager will foster a culture of coaching and growth, resolve client issues, and oversee the team’s performance and development.

 

What You'll Be Doing

  • Drive team responsibilities, ensuring accountability and performance.
  • Resolve client issues with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Manage and monitor the team, ensuring alignment of priorities with CIBC initiatives.
  • Coach team members and support their professional growth.
  • Monitor the loan portfolio, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Develop and implement metrics to measure team performance and service levels.
  • Partner with Line of Business (LOB) and other Loan Services teams to enhance productivity and communication.
  • Leverage data to inform decision-making and drive process improvements.
  • Ensure the team meets SLA requirements, including reconciliation and past due management.
  • Create, maintain, and update team policies and procedures.
  • Participate in or lead departmental projects focused on process improvement.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in loan servicing, banking, or a related financial services environment.
  • Experience with ACBS (Advanced Commercial Banking System) is required
  • Proven experience in team management and leadership.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data in decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop metrics and drive process improvements.
  • Experience partnering with internal departments and stakeholders.

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $115,000 - $140,000 for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
