Senior Manager Strategic IT Sourcing (m/f/d)

In this role, you will shape the overall sourcing framework and governance model, driving the optimization and consolidation of our global IT provider landscape. 

With a strong focus on external IT support and consulting services, you will leverage your expertise to build strategic partnerships, ensure seamless sourcing processes, and contribute to the success of our technology strategy. Collaborating closely with IT leadership, procurement teams, and key external vendors, you will play a crucial role in managing supplier performance and aligning sourcing initiatives with business objectives.

Main Responsibilities & Key Tasks 

Shape the Future of IT Sourcing 

• Define and implement a best-in-class IT sourcing strategy, governance model, and policies that align with business goals, regulatory requirements, and senior IT leadership. 

• Provide strategic input on outsourcing vs. in-house decisions (‘make vs. buy’) to optimize quality, cost efficiency, and internal controls. 

• Stay ahead of industry trends, identifying next-generation sourcing models and strategic partnerships that drive innovation and business impact. 

• Continuously evaluate vendors and market offerings, ensuring the best value and efficiency for our IT investments. 

Drive Strategic Supplier Management 

• Lead cross-functional collaboration between IT domains, procurement, and key stakeholders to streamline vendor relationships and contracts across global IT purchasing categories. 

• Optimize supplier services to enhance cost savings, efficiency, and operational performance. 

• Execute key sourcing initiatives, including supplier consolidation, regional delivery models, and major offshoring deals. 

• Oversee the end-to-end vendor selection process—from RFP development and contract negotiation to final approval and long-term partnership management. 

Enable Seamless Procurement & Operational Excellence 

• Manage relationships with strategic IT suppliers, engaging with senior supplier executives (CxOs/Delivery Heads) to ensure alignment with business needs, foster innovation, and improve performance. 

• Administer sourcing operations, leveraging SAP Ariba or Coupa for contract lifecycle management, approvals, renewals, and negotiations. 

• Collaborate closely with Global Procurement and Sourcing Management teams to ensure alignment with procurement frameworks and best practices. 

Lead with Impact 

• Provide guidance and mentorship to the Strategic Sourcing Management team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. 

• Partner with business stakeholders, contract owners, and suppliers to align on expectations, performance evaluations, and process improvements.
