What You’ll Do

• Prepare and cook meals in accordance with planned menus, dietary guidelines, and resident preferences.
• Ensure all food is prepared, cooked, and served safely, following food safety and sanitation standards.
• Assist with meal service and presentation to create an enjoyable dining experience for residents.
• Accommodate special diets and menu changes as needed, including therapeutic and texture-modified diets.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including equipment, supplies, and work areas.
• Assist with inventory, storage, and proper labeling of food and supplies.
• Communicate effectively with dietary staff and other team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Support special events, parties, or themed meals as needed.

Requirements

• Experience in cooking, preferably in healthcare, senior living, or hospitality settings
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Attention to detail and a passion for preparing great food
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively
• Creativity, reliability, and a positive attitude
• Must be able to speak and read in English
