Cloud Solutions Architect

Responsibilities

Noblis is seeking to hire a Cloud Solutions Architect with an ACTIVE Top Secret Clearance.

 

As a Cloud Solutions Architect, you will be at the forefront of designing and implementing cloud strategies. You will lead the architectural design of cloud environments, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and cost effective. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into robust cloud solutions. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

• Develops strategies for cloud-based platforms.   

• Translates business needs into long-term architecture solutions.   

• Develops and designs solutions as needed, evaluating multiple software platforms, and integrating systems.   

• Able to design automation for cloud resources using DevOps best practices.   

• Acts as highest-level technical expert, addressing problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms.   

• Responsible for project completion.   

• Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management.   

• May lead a large development team in the design of highly complex software systems.  

• Responsible for the evaluation of technical risks and development of mitigation strategies.  

• Provide prompt response to technical issues in a professional manner. 

 

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (in computer science, data science, or other related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline) with 8 years of experience; Additional six (6) years of experience is considered in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with Databricks and Lakehouse architectures. 
• Experience with AWS OpenSearch.  
• Expertise in architecting cloud environments for utilization of large-scale data processing, computationally intensive statistical modeling, and advanced analytics. 
• Experience in Linux and Windows server administration. 
• Experience implementing servers and security in AWS Cloud. 
• Experience with Active Directory. 
• Strong self-organization and self-management skills, with emphasis on self-initiation, teamwork and follow through. 
• Strong professional and interpersonal skills. 
• Strive to improve yourself, team, and process through teamwork, communication, idea-sharing, collaboration, and problem-solving.  
• ActiveTop Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility 

Desired Qualifications

• Experience operating in a scaled agile (SAFe) environment a plus. 

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate Certification, Cloud Security Professional Certification, or AWS Cloud System Operations Administrative Professional a plus. 

• Experience with Splunk, Oracle/SQL based platforms. 

• Experience with Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence) a plus.
