That’s why we need you to join us.</p><p><strong>Your department:</strong></p><p>Statkraft’s ambition is to grow in the wind, solar and hydro generation business throughout Continental Europe. You will work within Statkraft’s Continental European Portfolio Analysis and Optimisation team at the heart of this debate, following closely (new) long-term developments. This department holds the responsibility for the cradle-to-grave portfolio management of all Continental European assets throughout the lifecycle, including proactively ensuring value optimisation and risk management across the portfolio. Your holistic view of the total asset portfolio and the risk/reward function of individual projects will enable Statkraft to take the right decisions going forward.</p><p>We cooperate closely with Statkraft’s M&A, project development and trading teams as well as various experts. The team is located in Düsseldorf, Germany.</p><h3>Job Description</h3><p>We expect you to derive recommendations to higher management by taking a leading role in Statkraft-wide projects with experts from various fields (price forecasting, production modelling, regulatory affairs, etc.). Your profound capabilities of data analytics and understanding of the broader picture will add valuable insights into the decision-making process. We also expect you to proactively engage within the Statkraft organization to drive change and enlarge Statkraft’s capabilities for profound decision-making. Your tasks will include:</p><ul><li>Deliver and present insights for asset-specific and portfolio decisions to higher management</li><li>Lead revenue evaluations for assets in M&A processes as well as development projects in any Continental European electricity market</li><li>Simulate the value of power plants as well as long-term contracts for all value pools (wholesale market, the value of flexibility, capacity market, etc.)</li><li>Further develop our quantitative revenue model toolbox (excel and/or python based) for different asset classes</li><li>Assess the underlying fundamentals driving the value of Statkraft’s asset portfolio analytically and qualitatively</li><li>Engage with experts within and outside the company on revenue-impacting factors</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><p>We look for an experienced (Senior) Commercial Analyst (m/f/d) with the essential skills to future-proof our business and renewable energy solutions. That includes:</p><ul><li>Excellent university degree in economics, engineering, or science</li><li>At least 3 years of experience within the electricity industry with a profound understanding of the dynamics of electricity markets and their impact on asset revenues</li><li>Ability to translate complex analysis into concrete and easily understandable recommendations and actions</li><li>Experience in leading projects and excellent communication and facilitation skills</li><li>Very strong analytical and commercial mindset</li><li>Profound knowledge in modelling, programming (e.g., python), and data analytics with excellent statistical understanding is a must</li><li>Very proactive way of working</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><p>A career with Statkraft is a career filled with purpose – meaning that every employee is not just making a living, they are making a real difference to the planet, our communities and the future.
