Job Title:  Heat Treat Furnace Operator - 1st shift

Location:  Greenfield, MA

 

Job Description:

Heat treat (Furnace) personnel are responsible for the heat treat manufacturing process. 

 

Job Duties:

The duties include washing all required tap blanks in preparation for the heat treat queue for hardening

Keeping the furnace in maximum load efficiency operation.  

It requires setup and the operation of the heat treating furnaces to perform the required heat treating operation of a variety of parts and materials where cycle time, temperature, methods and weights are predetermined.  

Operator sets all instruments and control panels for cycle and temperature. 

Load baskets; start automatic or hand cycle; empty basket after cycle. 

Perform daily maintenance as defined. 

Perform required start-up and shutdown procedures. 

Must be capable of diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and instrument problems and self-correct whenever possible, or notify proper personnel for purposes of minimizing downtime.
