As Director, Regional & Verbund Controlling, you will be responsible for the NA regional controlling and the US Verbund controlling for the Freeport and Geismar sites, leading a strong team of managers and experts.

As a Director Regional Verbund Controlling NA, You Create Chemistry By...

• Steering and providing transparency to the region NA and Verbund Sites on financial performance and controlling related topics.
• Interacting with corporate Senior Management (including NA Board member, President, NAEC, North America Leadership Team (NALT), and global GB and Finance management), advising on the region performance, setting objectives for the region and providing smart perspectives on the further NA business development, growth and optimization.
• Providing clear leadership and technical skills to shape the Regional and Verbund controlling team in close coordination with the regional stakeholders and related GB division Clusters and Hubs.
• Challenging and improving financial operations such as planning, reporting, and analysis, serving as an advisor on NA regional business development, providing transparency and enabling the development of short to long term strategies that optimizes the business in the region.
• Driving engagement, instilling trust, ensuring strong personnel development within the team, and create an inclusive and empowered environment.
• Developing and coaching talent, forming a winning team with a clear service and consulting mindset, in close interaction with the GB controlling team across key BASF locations.
• Engaging with the Verbund Sites related business communities, shaping the environment for performance development, providing key analysis and insights to enable appropriate decision-making and drive value generation across the region: proactively identifying and prioritizing opportunities for sustainable solutions (process optimization, digitalization, steering tools), executing functional and operational planning and analysis, and defining KPIs that drive continuous improvement and ensure harmonized, efficient, high-quality solutions.
• Ensuring appropriate alignment with the GB organization including GB Hubs, other functional/service units (Tax, Insurance, Legal, Procurement) as well as with BASF Group global units such as Corporate Finance Reporting (CFR), Corporate Treasury (CFT), Corporate Mergers and Acquisitions (CFM), Corporate Development (CD).
• Driving the Finance & Controlling community NA, including talent management, exchange of practices and processes within NA and globally.
• As Regional Digital Divisional Officer for NA (DDO) the incumbent is responsible for the NA digitalization roadmap, project planning and approval process in close interaction with Digital Steering Council of BASF Group (DSC)

If you have...

• Advanced Controlling, Finance and/or Business acumen
• Broad based and progressive Controlling/Finance and/or Business Site controlling experience
• Strong management skills, with a proven track record of building and developing high performing teams.
• Ability to communicate across management levels with executive presence, clearly and concisely to drive performance and results.
