The Corporate Action Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting the Corporate Action workflow for Capital Partner. This role supports the accurate and timely processing of market events, reconciles activity across multiple platforms, posts tax withholding and fee activity, reviews positions in advance of event posting, and helps ensure alignment with custodians and internal systems. The Specialist also partners with the business line to resolve inquiries, support client service needs, review event data, and assist with new account openings, account closings, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Transaction Processing and Reconciliation
- Post Corporate Action events to the accounting and trading platforms accurately and in a timely manner throughout the day.
- Validate the appropriate application of long-term and short-term gain classifications for dividend activity.
- Review daily reports to identify and resolve differences across multiple platforms.
- Address client inquiries and process client requests accurately and on time.
- Research and resolve account issues, including tax status changes, one-time adjustments, and related updates.
- Escalate unresolved or time-sensitive client issues to management as appropriate.
- Ensure Voluntary Corporate Actions are actioned appropriately with documented in the daily work.
- Process and Productivity Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and individual productivity.
- Develop an understanding of how the function impacts the broader division and firm.
- Contribute to division or firmwide process improvement initiatives.
- Provide day-to-day support and backup coverage to team members as needed.
- Communicate professionally and constructively to resolve issues, reduce risk, and minimize exposure.
Qualifications
- Experience in operations, financial services, asset servicing, corporate actions, custody, or a related function preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to review, reconcile, and validate data accurately.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and follow established procedures.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with internal partners and provide responsive client service support.
- Comfort working with multiple systems, reporting tools, and operational workflows.

This role is based in our New York City location and is a hybrid role, with a minimum of three days per week in office.
Salary Range
$60k-$75k base salary + annual bonus target
