Prologis is seeking a dynamic Energy Security Architect to join our high-energy, fast-paced team. With a focus on security and cutting-edge technologies, our department drives the security initiatives that protect our business and propel our growth. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact by working with our diverse business units and pioneering IT partners on the architecture, buildout, and deployment of Energy, Mobility, and Sustainability (EMS) security solutions. You need to be willing to learn whatever it takes to get the job done. As a Security Architect, you’ll also ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory policies/standards and help institute industry best practices.
Key responsibilities include:
- Security Leadership: Leverage proven experience to design, develop and integrate threat modeling, secure application development frameworks and security control architecture.
- Assessments & Advisory: Conduct thorough security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend robust solutions. Act as a trusted security advisor to our EMS teams, guiding them through complex security landscapes.
- Documentation & Compliance: Document security architectures, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with corporate, regulatory, and industry standards. Help foster a culture of security awareness across the organization, including vendors and partners.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Collaboration: Maintain the strong relationships between Prologis and vendors, and promote the adoption of security standards and best practices among business stakeholders and external collaborators.
- Innovation & Proactivity: Stay current on emerging security risks, trends and technologies. Share insights with business and IT teams to drive proactive measures that mitigate potential threats. Identify recurring issues and implement strategies to prevent them.
- On-Call Support: Participate in periodic on-call duties to provide critical support and rapid response to security incidents.
Building blocks for success
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in IT Security
- 4-5 years of experience in a cloud environment
- Experience with energy or utility technologies
- DevSecOps Experience
- Experience with designing and developing security controls for cloud native architectures
- Strong analytical skills with a meticulous approach to detail and accuracy
- Positive, proactive work ethic and approach
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to communicate complex security concepts to diverse audiences.
- Show tact, discretion, confidentiality and good judgement in handling sensitive and confidential matters and documentation
- CISSP Certification
- CCSP Certification or ability to acquire certification within 12 months of employment
- Experience building systems in AWS
Preferred:
- Bachelors degree in IT or a related field or 8-10 years of experience in IT with extensive exposure to all IT operations
- Experience with System and Network Administration
- Experience in data administration and security methods, plus various database design techniques
- Experience with PCI and billing systems
- Experience with utilities, utility infrastructure, and NERC CIP standards
- Knowledge of global privacy and security standards
- AWS Certification(s)
Hiring Salary Range of: $124,000 - $171,000. Salary and whole compensation package (bonus target) to be determined by the candidate’s location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
