Job Description

As a Security Officer -  Transportation Center Patrol - Full Time in Pomona, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in supporting a secure environment within a dynamic transportation setting. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the assigned location, remaining highly visible to help deter potential security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to all individuals you encounter. You will be expected to interact professionally with the public, respond promptly to incidents, and maintain detailed reports of your activities. This role requires driving as part of your duties, so a valid driver's license is necessary. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, responding to emergency situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the transportation location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report any irregularities, such as property damage, suspicious activity, or unauthorized persons on the premises.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management as needed.
• Assist with access control procedures, verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points as required by site policies.
• Document all incidents, observations, and activities in daily reports and/or incident logs according to company and site-specific requirements.
• Support emergency response activities, including evacuations and coordination with local authorities when necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

• Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Applicants must be comfortable using a computer or tablet. Preference will be given to those with prior experience.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• A valid Security Professional Guard Card or license is preferred and may be required prior to employment, subject to state and/or local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for positions that involve driving and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
