Tasks

• Creating data governance policies, processes, and standards and monitoring their fulfillment by all relevant stakeholders
• Ensuring compliance of policy framework with the applicable national and EU regulatory framework, e.g., GDPR, EU Data Act, EU AI Act, ISO certification
• Responsibility for and maintenance of a data catalog, including automatic labeling of data and access management to ensure discoverability
• Introducing and maintaining best practices with respect to data security
• Educating various stakeholders across the Körber group around the topic of data governance

 

Qualifications

• Must haves
  • Experience in working with cloud services (Azure preferred, alternatively AWS / GCP) (1+ years)
  • Experience in working with data catalogues in data lake / warehouse / Lakehouse environments (1+ years); unity catalog / purview preferred.
  • Experience in establishing a data governance framework on corporate level.
  • Ability to present data governance / management topics to audiences of technical personnel / layman
  • Fluent English

 

• Big plusses
  • Experience in using databricks (notebooks / workflows / MLFlow)
  • Basic python programming skills + experience in processing data with it
  • Hands-on experience with data bases (SQL / No-SQL); running and/or working with

 

• Nice to haves
  • Basic understanding of data science / engineering and/or software development
  • Familiarity with agile working styles (SCRUM/Kanban)
  • Fluent German
