Job Description

You will direct the development of Remanufacturing/Warehouse Goals in safety, quality, customer delivery, and financial improvement. You will develop capacity plans and output forecasts based on complex customer demand trends and variable labor content per remanufacturing and warehouse operations. You will develop and execute resource planning in a high product mix and customized process related to remanufacturing/repair related operations, along with related processes within the warehouse/material handling/receiving/shipping operations. You will select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the Remanufacturing and Warehouse Team. You will plan and administers operating policies, procedures, and practices that foster employee engagement in a continuous improvement-driven work environment, specifically focus within Remanufacturing Operations and Warehouse Operations.

You will report to the Warehouse and Remanufacturing Manager.

Essential Functions:

Functional:

  • You will supervise 25 to 35 employees on 2nd Shift, along with giving direction to 2nd Shift Remanufacturing and Warehouse personnel.
  • Maintain and enforce safe work practices.
  • Select and hire employees and provide on-going performance monitoring.
  • Establish and implement employee training programs and schedules.
  • Implement company policies and procedures with respect to disciplinary policies.
  • Perform resource planning requirements and scheduling of work hours and time off requests.
  • Administer and maintain employee time at work records and systems.
  • Receive predetermined assignments subject to a moderate level of control and review.
  • Communicate daily production requirements and set targets based upon capacity.
  • Plan and coordinate production order transitions and inventory transactions within the Plant between shifts and between manufacturing departments.
  • Communicate production order status, warehouse daily priorities and results at frequent intervals.
  • Accountable for safety, quality, customer delivery, and productivity improvement objectives.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects, i.e. Kaizen events, A3 Projects.
  • Understand and maintain complex manufacturing order management systems related to material movement.
  • Facilitate Remanufacturing and Warehousing teams toward the achievement of business and customer objectives.
  • Coach and train teams in the philosophy of continuous improvement and waste reduction concepts.
  • Evaluate employee performance on a continual basis and provide continuous performance feedback.
  • Develop a motivated employee base through rewards and recognition linked to accomplishments.
  • Provide leadership in the support of best practices and compliance to procedures and specifications.

Business:

  • Calculate labor efficiency, utilization, and productivity.
  • Analyze remanufacturing and warehousing labor times for variance and overall reduction opportunities.
  • Analyze daily backlogs and calculate required capacity to manage order lead times.
  • Develop resource plans based upon individual work cell order demand rates.
  • Understand operating budgetary controls.
  • Utilize tools as part of Lean Six Sigma based continuous improvement philosophy.
  • Appropriately apply policies and procedures in compliance with government laws. Policies and procedures include, but not limited to: Standards of Business Conduct, Intellectual Property, Control Environment, Information Protection, ISO 9000 & 14000, government regulations (e.g. health, safety, quality and environmental), and functional policies.
