POSITION SUMMARY:
MPLX, NG & NGL Engineering & Technical Services is an engineering support and project development organization comprised of engineering and other resources that manage technical and project services associated with natural gas gathering pipelines and compression. This position directs a multi-disciplined team on the development, management, and completion of a wide variety of engineering and construction projects. This position reports to the Engineering Director and oversees cost estimating, budgeting, and forecasting for a multi-project portfolio of compression facilities. The successful candidate is expected to lead in a manner aligned with the NG/NGL Guiding Principles. This position will work out of the Canonsburg, PA office.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervises the development, management, and completion of a wide range of engineering and construction projects. These comprise primarily G&P plant facilities, compressor stations, and pipelines.
- Executes project cost estimating and generation of AFE’s.
- Ensures that designs include current engineering and construction standards. Ensures that projects maximize operations efficiency, quality, flexibility, safety, scheduling, and reliability while optimizing costs.
- Strategically distributes workloads. Ensures that projects are completed within the intended timeframe.
- Develops a collaborative teamwork approach to consistently providing quality projects and support services with a competitive focus that meets our Business Partner’s operational expectations.
- Clearly communicates expectations to personnel. Monitors and evaluates individual performance compared to expectations. Determines the areas of strength and weakness of personnel and guides career development; Appraises personnel of their performance status in a timely manner.
- Supports key contractor relationships through open communication, helping to maintain high-performing and value-adding contractors while driving ownership and accountability as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
- Valid Drivers License is required.
- Ten (10) years engineering experience required.
- Five (5) years Industry experience required.
- Leadership experience strongly preferred.
