Robert Bosch LLC seeks a Senior Software Engineer at its facility located at 384 Santa Trinita Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94085.

Job Description:

Conduct research and software development in the field of automated driving for behavioral planning systems. Develop and implement new functionalities for the company’s autonomous driving platform. Evaluate state-of-the-art methods for behavioral planning systems. Perform conceptual development of the behavioral planner module and its sub components within the automated driving system and the interaction with related modules, such as prediction and environment modeling. Work on conceptual development, method and algorithm design for efficient behavioral search algorithms, graph pruning concepts, optimization, propagation of uncertainty, and collision checking. Perform implementation of the developed concepts. Design algorithms for probabilistic autonomous systems. Evaluate system performance and deriving conclusions based on findings. Apply knowledge on robotic systems for search based planning, probabilistic algorithms, and planning under uncertainty. Telecommuting permitted.

Educational Requirements:

Master’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Robotics Engineering, Robotic Systems Development, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.

Experience Requirements:  

Three (3) years of experience in job offered, Research Engineer, Software Engineer, Robotics Software Developer, or in a related occupation.

Special Skills Requirements: 

Academic training or work experience in the following:

1. Algorithm design

2. ROS (Robot Operating System)

3. C++ Programming

4. Python

5. Probabilistic Robotics

6. Robotics principles in planning

7. Git and Linux operating system  

Annual Salary: $234,062-$245,000/yr.
