What?
This position is responsible for developing and coordinating maintenance plans, scheduling preventive and corrective maintenance activities, and supporting the maintenance team to improve equipment uptime and productivity.
Main aspects of the role include:
- Develop, optimize, schedule, and coordinate completion of preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM) plans.
- Maintain and optimize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), ensuring accurate data entry and reporting. Acts as the administrator of EAM for the company.
- Review work requests, prioritize tasks, and assign work orders to appropriate maintenance technicians.
- Coordinates external contractors to complement internal resources. Owns and facilitates company-wide contractor training program.
- Partner with MRO Storeroom personnel to procure necessary materials, parts, and tools to ensure readiness for scheduled maintenance activities.
- Monitor maintenance backlog and drive continuous improvement in scheduling efficiency and work completion.
- Collaborate with Production, Scheduling, Quality and Engineering teams to plan for shutdowns, special projects, or equipment upgrades.
- Analyze equipment history and failure trends to improve asset reliability and reduce downtime.
- Support compliance with safety, food quality, and regulatory requirements, including calibration and metrology requirements are met.
- Prepare and maintain documentation, records, and reports related to maintenance activities.
You!
The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in Facilities or Maintenance Planning within a manufacturing environment, along with an Associate’s degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience. A strong understanding of Preventative Maintenance programs and proficiency in CMMS software is essential; experience with systems such as MP2, SAP, or EAM is preferred.
Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems—particularly in a food manufacturing or similar industrial setting—is required. The candidate should possess excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate projects effectively. They must be detail-oriented and capable of reading technical drawings, equipment manuals, and specifications. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with minimal supervision.
