Job Summary:
Viega LLC, a global leader in plumbing manufacturing, is seeking an experienced Employee Relations and Investigations Specialist to join our HR Department. This is a full-time on-site role for an Employee Relations Specialist located in McPherson, KS. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in handling employee relation matters and conducting thorough investigations when necessary. The candidate should have a strong understanding of employment laws, excellent communication skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Employee Relations:
Serve as a primary point of contact for employees regarding workplace concerns or conflicts.
Collaborate with HR partners to address and resolve employee relations issues.
Provide guidance to managers on employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
Investigations:
Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into employee complaints, including harassment, discrimination, and other alleged policy violations.
Compile detailed investigative reports, presenting findings and recommendations to HR and leadership.
Work closely with legal counsel when necessary to ensure investigations align with legal requirements.
Employee and Stakeholder Support:
Educate employees and managers on HR policies to ensure understanding and compliance.
Ensure leaders comprehend programs related to employee relations and workplace conduct.
Provide guidance to management on handling employee relations issues effectively.
Manage system updates for employees and managers in SuccessFactors.
Qualifications:
A minimum of five year with proven experience in employee relations and conducting workplace investigations.
In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred.
HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR).
Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Familiarity with global HR practices and regulations.
