EssentialWe're looking for a Senior Manager, Engineering to guide a talented team in building scalable solutions that drive business growth and create exceptional digital experiences for our customers. At Ritual, we believe great digital experiences are integral to any company’s success. As a subscription service, we empower customers to invest in products that align with their long-term goals, reinforcing positive habits through engaging and user-friendly digital tools. As a key leader on our team, you'll collaborate with designers, product managers, and data analysts to continuously enhance our online experiences. Your leadership will shape our technical strategies and ensure scalable, high-quality solutions.

What You'll Do:

• Lead the design, architecture, and execution of technical projects, working closely with Engineering, Product, and Data leadership.
• Document strategies, technical implementations, dependencies, and priorities to support team initiatives.
• Establish engineering processes, define company standards, identify core technologies, and address technical challenges.
• Build scalable solutions, leveraging conventions and prioritizing simplicity where it makes sense.

What You Need:

• Education: A degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred, but equivalent experience is equally valued.
• Experience: 5+ years developing scalable web applications in a fast-paced environment with 2-3+ years in a senior or leadership role.
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Ruby/Rails, with a track record of building scalable solutions.
• Experience with Stripe APIs and Sidekiq is a plus.
• A solid understanding of system design, testing, documentation, and monitoring.
• Preferred: Familiarity with troubleshooting at scale and guiding technology decisions as the company grows.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Pay Range:  $138,000 - $196,000
• Your base salary is one part of your total compensation package. The salary range represents the entire compensation range for this position. Exact compensation will depend on a number of factors, which may include the successful candidate's skills, level, years of experience, technical expertise, and other qualifications. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. This role is also eligible for equity + generous benefits + 401k + unlimited PTO etc - see our list of perks/ benefits below.
