The Northrop Grumman Sentinel program has an exciting opportunity for a System Performance Specification (SPS) Product Owner.  The selected candidate will perform, but are not limited to, the following duties. Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) and technical lead with total owner of the level 1 specification leading to the successful implementation for the Sentinel Program by System Functional Review (SFR).  Partner with the Sentinel and customer leadership to move the SPS toward product maturity.

  • Coordinate with Thread Leads to ensure proper requirement allocation and verification.
  • Brief program leadership, customers, and stakeholders on the System Performance Specification.
  • Establish an effective system of working group / coordination sessions with stakeholders across the development community to ensure the SPS is consistent with program cost and schedule constraints.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships across the Sentinel program, customers, and stakeholder communities.
  • Engage in formal and informal mentoring to support knowledge transfer and talent development.

This position will be located in Roy, Utah and may offer a competitive relocation package.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 14 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline and 12 years of related experience or a PhD and 10 years of experience.
  • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
  • 3+ years' experience providing technical leadership to cross-IPT engineering team(s).
  • 2+ years’ experience with requirements development in DOORS
  • Strong partnership/collaboration skills. Demonstrated ability to partner cross-IPT/cross-discipline within a team.
  • Experience with weapon system requirements verification.
  • Experience implementing and using model-based systems engineering tools, practices, and methods.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong program execution skills; demonstrated ability to meet program technical, cost, and schedule milestones.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
