Class A/B CDL Driver

Our delivery drivers are the backbone of Star Lumber's operations. They ensure that the right materials are delivered to the right place, on time, and in perfect condition, allowing our customers to succeed in their projects. From safely operating commercial vehicles and expertly handling materials to collaborating with warehouse and dispatch teams, our drivers demonstrate a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. Their dedication keeps our business moving forward and makes them essential to our continued success.

This is not an over the road driving position.

Your typical day

· Complete deliveries of building material products in and around the Wichita area.

      -Products include lumber, siding, windows, doors, cabinets, decking and more. 

· Proper loading and unloading of materials at store and customer jobsites.

      -Utilization of Moffett

· Accurate logging of delivery stops and DOT time tracking. 

· Follow all DOT safety policies and requirements. 

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following:

· A valid Class A/B CDL with a clean driving record.

· Minimum of 2 years of CDL driving experience, preferably with building materials.

· Cat 1 interstate license.

· Ability to operate commercial vehicles and equipment like forklifts and moffetts.

· Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance.

· Excellent communication and customer service skills.

· Physical ability to handle and transport heavy materials.

· A positive attitude and a commitment to teamwork and customer satisfaction.

· Knowledge of Wichita Metro area.

· Flexibility and willingness to operate Semi, Tandem or Box Truck

· 80,000# combination vehicle experience.
