As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a government location focused on baggage handling operations. In this unarmed patrol position, you will conduct regular patrols throughout assigned areas, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence. Your responsibilities will include monitoring access points, assisting with badge verification, and responding promptly to any security-related concerns. You will also interact with staff and visitors, delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, including baggage handling areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, hazards, or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required by site policies.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff while representing Allied Universal at all times.
• Complete required reports and documentation accurately and promptly as directed by site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 plus years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
