We are seeking a Senior Client Engineer to help us fulfill that mission. A functional, reliable and secure client device that provides employees with all the capabilities that they need to successfully perform their job duties plays an incredibly important role in an employee’s success and perceptions of not only IT, but also ACT. The goal of this position is to provide a world-class experience for ACT users by constantly striving to improve, automate and simplify the delivery of our client solutions and the systems used to manage our client environment.
The finalist will be hired at the salary and level commensurate with their qualifications. For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary in the range of to $90,000 - $105,000, depending on experience. ACT manages salaries within the range based on relevant factors including, skills, experience, and internal equity.
Remote (can also be onsite or hybrid if in Iowa City, Iowa area)
What you will be working on:
- Automate the deployment of client applications, updates and security updates to maintain currency, functionality and security of our Windows and Mac desktop applications
- Identify, prioritize and execute opportunities to simplify, improve and automate internal processes and systems
- Manage, maintain and enhance the systems used to support, monitor and manage our client end points, configurations and software deployments
- Identify and execute opportunities to automate, reduce the cost of, and improve the efficiency of our client workstations, software, and management solutions
- Collaborate with other teams in IT to identify, design and deploy scalable technical client and client management solutions and resolve issues
- Manage, troubleshoot and enhance the virtual desktop system and virtual workstation end points
- Work with the Service Desk to identify self-service and automation opportunities for end users and services and help identify and create how-to and troubleshooting documentation
- Provide user support and assist with escalated trouble tickets from the Service Desk and Deskside Support teams
- Collaborate with Security Operations to design and implement security best practices within our client systems and end points
Role Progression:
- Within 1 month, you will understand ACT's client infrastructure and management solutions. You will assist with escalated trouble tickets and help improve internal processes and systems.
- Within 3 months, you will automate the deployment of client applications and updates, collaborate with IT teams to implement scalable solutions, and resolve issues while maintaining security best practices.
- Within 6 months, you will identify and execute opportunities to improve and automate client workstations, software, and management solutions, while actively managing and enhancing systems and collaborating with IT teams to deploy strategic solutions and processes.
